Filmed and edited a short film focusing on the Asprey store front, christmas 2015. I shot this on a Canon 1DC with an 85 and 24mm lens at 4k video and RAW stills and an intervalometer set at every 10 seconds with a exposure of just under a second. I didn’t want too much light streaking, but enough to show people standing still looking into the store windows, and enough to lure foreground and passing traffic. It was a fairly hassle free shoot, although there was a limited amount of space due to passing people and car traffic and I was constantly worried about pedestrians bumping into the tripod legs- I solved this by placing my bag of Pret near each of the legs to make it more visible! Lightweight sticks and about 3 hours of footage filled a 128GB card up. The batteries on the 1DC lasted easily the whole shoot, without changing- which was quite impressive. Edited it that night and was ready the next day. I contacted my “go-to” musician Chad Lawson, whom provided the score “Auld Lang Syne” which I heard a few weeks ago and is available on iTunes. I wanted to create the warmth of Christmas and to capture a few products in the window display. The display centres around the brand film “Born to Dream” which I filmed earlier this year, which you can view on my portfolio section of this site. Along with the film I created digital assets for the Tatler take-over homepage.
